With pre-orders for Samsung‘s upcoming Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus having opened just a few days ago, we knew it was only a matter of time before a release date was confirmed. And wouldn’t you know it, a release date has been confirmed.
A press release from Samsung reveals that the 7-inch Honeycomb-powered tablet will arrive on November 13, with an attached price of $399.99. Best Buy, Amazon, Tiger Direct and Fry’s are named among the retailers that will be offering the device. Note however that only the 16 GB model will be available; the larger 32 GB storage capacity version won’t be in stores until a later date, either this year or early next year.
The Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus is a beastly little device, especially at the price it’s been set for. The Honeycomb OS is powered by a 1.2 GHz dual core processor. It includes a 3 MP camera and is capable of capturing high-definition video at 720p. It also features a built-in infrared transmitter, allowing it to be used as a sort of superpowered universal remote control.
